Hi,

I am a 50 year old female in fairly good health.  I exercise
strenuously 3 x per week. ; I take Yasmin (low dose birth control)
not for birth control but to help hormones.  I menstruate but
because of the way I take the Yasmin, only 4 times per year. ;

I am very angry with my doctors because I saw a copy of my blood
test (from 1 year ago) and my Hemoglobin and hematocrit levels are
very low-Hemo-12.2, hematocrit-36.4.

I have started taking liquid Iron and don't feel so tired.

How much HGH should I take and what about Testosterone?

I have just started Somatropin (1 week) .85 IU-less than 1 IU-with
6 days on and 1 day off.

I weigh 138 lbs and am 5'7".

My husband is 44 and 6" tall and weighs 225. He weight trains (can
free bench 285 lbs and leg press 400 lbs.) ; he has a large frame
and a lot of muscle mass. ; We don't know our body fat index.

How much HGH should he be taking?  He started with me and is taking
about two IUs one half to 1 hour after waking up or before going to
the gym in the morning.  He also takes protein supplements.

Is this the correct dose?

Also, we have 6 mg vials and mix it with 3 mls of bacteriostatic
water.  Can anyone tell me if we are doing this right and how long
before we see results?

[yes, you are mixing it o.k.  each 1 iu is .167 ml. as you have
mixed.  With your dose, I expect you are already seeing some
results, such as more energy, more hydrated skin, tighter skin,
and you probably have a better mood and you sleep better than
before.  - Ellis]

I feel I have lost a few pounds (two) in the last week. ; My
appetite has decreased-is this from the HGH?

[I don't know... I am not aware that anybody's appetite
decreases from taking HGH... - Ellis]

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

[Hello Pam...

You wrote that you are very angry with your doctors because
you saw a copy of your blood test of 1 year ago, with hemoglobin
12.2 and hematocrit 36.4... and that you are taking iron and
you don't feel so tired... Then you go on to ask about HGH
and testosterone, but you didn't ask about EPO...

So... I deduce that, like your doctors, you don't realize what
you have or what you need to do to fix it... You have anemia,
and a bad case of it, too...  It is no wonder that you are
tired, but you have grown so accustomed to being tired that
you even think you are not so tired... it already seems normal
to you... I'll bet you are very tired if you ever climb one flight
of stairs.

At least you are right to be angry with your doctors, because it
is understandable that you don't know what you have, but it is
inexcuseable that they didn't know what you have... or maybe they
did, but they didn't know what to do so they didn't give you the
proper treatment.

That is typical, unfortunately, and "par for the course..."

Fortunately for you, you are subscribed to Rejuvenation, so you
will learn more than they will ever know about anemia...
