Oralce answers with Roller and JBoss

make sure the hibernate.cfg.xml file has

<property
name="dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.OracleDi
alect</property>

Note that that ISN'T Oracle9Dialect

<property
name="connection.datasource">java:jdbc/roller
db</property>

The jndi name in this file doesn't match the name the
installation
instructions tell you to use so change it.


make sure to download the latest 10g drivers from oracles
web site
ojdbc14.zip and put this in the server lib directory

make sure to name the roller deployment directory roller.war
(I had just
copied over the roller directory and jboss doesn't like
that)

make sure to create new empty directories for these settings
in the
roller-custom.properties file

uploads.dir=/jboss/rolleruploads
search.index.dir=/jboss/rollerindex
