Hi Jean,
This is very interesting to me. My doc told me that Rosacea is genetic. I
also have chronic urticaria (which is chronic hives). I've had them for
over 7 years. I also have stomach problems, seems like i'm very sensitive
to a lot of things. I can't even drink any forms of alcohol. I wonder if
the rosacea can affect the digestive tract as well, like you mentioned from
the article. They also are thinking my hives are something autoimmune.
They never could find a reason for them Does anyone else here on the list
have chronic hives? Thanks for sharing this information. Very interesting!
Ann
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of

Subject: [rosacea] ARTICLE IN PAPER
> Last Sunday in the British newspaper Mail on Sunday there was an article
> on rosacea in which it says "The cause of rosacea is unknown although the
> root problem is hypersensitivity of tiny blood vessels under the skin of
> the face .Affected vessels dilate in response to common enviromental
> triggers such as temperature change which do not bother most people .
> There may be a genetic propensity to this and many experts believe that an
> immune system disorder is to blame . Rosaea is not just a skin problem ,it
> is systemic:blood vessels in the mouth ,digeastive tract and elsewher in
> the body may also be involved and can cause problems "
