Erin
Welcome to the forum. Many people find that their skin gets better when
humidity is
higher. I certainly get worse in the winter when the central heating gets
turned on and the
humidiity levels fall (I also get bad if I spend too long in air
conditioning environment). I
would recommend that you get a humidifer and see if it works for you (or
perhaps you
could borrow one?).
As for salt, again people often improve when they go on holiday by the sea.
It could be
the salt water or just perhaps the reduced levels of stress. A while ago
there was a thread
on using water softners which you may like to search for the the archives.
As for adding salt to the humidifier, I'm not sure but I think it would ruin
the machine
pretty quickly.
Best wishes
Sarah
