Elena, I know you're not big on drugs but I'll mention this anyway...
just in case ... What about the Benadryl stick? Do you have that in
the States? It comes in a tube like AfterBite, with a sponge tip,
you dab it on itchiness, etc. I remember someone here mentioning that
she crushed up Benadryl, mixed it with water (I think) and applied it
to her face for itchiness. You are being sooooo stoic about not
putting anything on your face or scalp...

Hi Karen,

Gee, I never heard of Benadryl sticks but I will check with my pharmasist. No, I don't as a rule like drugs but neither am I one to avoid them when I know there are no other choices. I really think I have tried EVERYTHING with my situation. At least all that is known to me. I use prescirption Nizorol every other day and on the days I am not using that I use over the counter tar shampoo. And then at night I alternate between a steriod foam prescription and different oils (mostly coconut but also tea tree. For my face I alternate between the oils ( coconut, jojoba, veg. glycerin, seabuckthorn.....usually I mix them together.) and Metrogel 1%. I just don't know what else I could be doing! But this sounds like something I should look into. Have you used it? Do you know if it will sting? If I can't find this, I wonder if liquid Benadryl would help..........but it would probably be very sticky on the skin so probably not a good idea. Anyway, th anks for
the idea Karen, I'll ask about it today.

Take care,
Elena
