Hi Lee,
Yes, colloidal silver was used as a remedy long ago, but most people prefer to use safer things these days.
> But I'm wondering if we all would have a better response using Colloidal Silver instead since there is no danger in taking this as there is in synthetics. <
Known risks include argyria (skin turning blue or grey), the metal concentrating in the brain causing neural damage such as seizures, or in other parts of the body such as the heart or the eye.
You might like to check the Wikipedia entry, which gives a pretty balanced assessment:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colloidal_silver
That states that argyria "can occur both via ingestion of silver, or through topical application of silver to the skin". However, it is usually from drinking the stuff.
"Death from argyria has been reported from as little as four months use of oral colloidal silver, and cases of kidney damage, stomach distress, and headaches have been reported, as well as cases of brain and nerve damage."
Here's one of my old posts on the subject:

I'm absolutely sure that you are a genuine, honest and kindly-intentioned member who really believes that to be a factual statement. However, the colloidal silver business is a massive earner.
Internet searches show plenty of sites selling CS products at big mark-ups, as well as equipment so people can set up in business for themselves and make big profits. It's also popular with multi-level marketing firms.
Kind regards,
Aurelia
