Hi, I used to microwave my panties for a minute when I had infections. That is certainly easier than boiling anything.

Good luck !

Hi Lisa,
thanks for the advice. Am willing to try anything. Guess it makes sense anyway - will see how my undies stand the heat!!
Did your gynaecologist recommend any treatment other than standard creams etc they usually give you. Am concerned at the amount of stuff I used in the past.

Hi Sarah.
I use to have the same cystitis/thrush thing happening too for over
5/10 years. Those are under control now but if your thrush keeps
coming back you should maybe 'boil' your underwear for 10mn as candida
albican can sometimes be resistant to normal temperatures. I recommend
100% cotton underwear though as synthetics really don't like the
treatment... It might sound like a strange thing to do but this was
recommended by my gynecologist in France and it did solve the
recurrence in the end. Worth a try.
Kind regards.

in my early twenties of having cystitis frequently so I'd then be
prescribed antibiotics, which would then lead to thrush. Then I'd get
that treated. It was a bit of a vicious circle. I got severe cystitis
about 4yrs ago but haven't really had that since then, but thrush does
seem to keep coming back still. I don't want to keep using medication
either and don't always find it works anyway.. It seems to occur at
certain times of the month.
> What kind of treatments have you tried? I'm going to book an
appointment with the doctor. I did read up on the dietary info for
treatment of Candida. That will kill me! Basically everything I love
would have to go out the window - cheeses (i love stilton etc) and
chocolate, anything sweet. Still, if it helps I'll give it a go.
> How long have you been trying to treat it? I'm a bit concerned
that I've left my rosacea so long without seeking treatment. I thought
u hdto have permanent redness to have rosacea. It was only after goin
for a facial (not by choice - it was a birthday present, I hated stuff
like that because my skin was so sensitive. I normally avoided facials
like the plague) that the therapist said she wouldn't steam my face as
she could already see the redness from rosacea creeping up. I wish I'd
realised it wasn't just 'sensitive skin.'
