Hi folks,

I received the books from O'Reilly, but won't be able to sit
down with
them in Montreal till the 21st. Does this work for all of
you who are
reviewing titles? (To come by and pick 'em up from Concordia
location?)

Also, our order was changed up a little:

Missing:
Process Improvement Essentials 0-596-10217-8

Extra:
Build Your Own Ruby on Rails Web Applications
Head First PMP

Any takers for these extra books?

Edward

I'll take "Build Your Own Ruby on Rails Web
Applications" if it's
still available.

Hi Edward

But instead of someone reading and keeping a book, can we
arrange
something like a sharing scheme?

Like after 3 weeks, swap books at a ruby meeting somewhere
in town.

I am definetely interested in reviewing the other books on
ruby (and
rails)

I really like this idea, but I think it should be at the
initial
reviewer's discretion whether or not to share the book or
not. Some
books become essential pieces of reference material and
especially for
students books are expensive. If the reviewer wishes to keep
the book
(in return for the service of having reviewed it) I think he
or she
should be allowed to do so.

However once a book is placed into the sharing pool it would
be good
to keep sharing it as the initial review will be done at
that point.

That sounds like an awesome idea. I'll get on it as soon as
this storm
of work blows over.
