ActionMAiler and file_field Question

Hi Gang,
I'm trying to figure a way to set an attachment to an email
by allowing 
the user to browse for a file to send with the mail. I
thought that I 
could use file_field to do this - but having no luck. HAs
anybody got a 
working example of how to achieve this? Or is it the wrong
way to go?
