You could try superimposing the controls on top of each
other using
absolute positioning. I haven't tried it, so let us know if
it works.

With the dropdown - render the dropdown in a DIV and use
JavaScript to
rewrite the DIV with the slider code. That way if there is
no
Javascript, your default control will still be in place.
