SIP Communicator alpha1 released

Hello,

After more than a year of development the SIP Communicator
team is proud 
to announce that the 1.0-alpha1 release is now available for
download.

The alpha1 release provides Instant Messaging support for
ICQ/AIM, 
Jabber and MSN protocols and (currently unstable) support
for SIP audio 
calls.

All the target milestones scheduled for the alpha1 release
have been 
reached (http://www.sip-communicator.org/index.php/Developme
nt/Roadmap) 
and the issues closed 
(https://sip-communic
ator.dev.java.net/issues/buglist.cgi?target_milestone=alpha1
&component=sip-communicator&issue_status=UNCONFIRMED
&issue_status=NEW&issue_status=STARTED&issue_sta
tus=REOPENED).

We have created and uploaded packages for Windows, MacOSX,
Debian, 
Fedora, generic Linux and generic jar at:
http://download.java.net/communications/sip-comm
unicator/alpha1/

Concerning CVS, we have tagged the corresponding files as
alpha1 which 
you can retrieve with the following commandline:
"cvs -d :pserver:guestcvs.dev.java.net:/cvs co -r
alpha1 sip-communicator"

Also, from now the nightly builds are named
alpha2.nightly.build.#
