| About receiving calls |

Hi all,
I9;m trying to make and receive calls with sip-communicator. Actually
it's possible with the first release of sip-communicator but I wasn't
able to receive calls, I just can make ones (I hear the ring tone and
the communication can be established correctly). At first, I tried
with a sip-communicator client in one side and SJphone client in the
other side and I was able to call from the first to the second and to
establish the communication. But it wasn't true when I did it in the
other way. I thought that it was because of using another Voip client
so I repeated the test with two sip-communicator client and the result
was no communication established !! and no phone was ringing ! Hope
that's not the case of all of you because I need sip-communicator to
work correctly, is it true?
Thanks for your answers.
Asma Tebessi.

Hello Asma,
Calling functionalities are still in an alpha state in
sip-communicator
so it could happen that they don't work in some cases. I'd
advise you to
check out your call traces and try to detect where the
problem comes
from (SIP, SDP, RTP?).

I think that's because of the sip header "From", when the client 1561
try to call the 1560 this one cannot identify him and in the From
header it's indicated as :
"U nknown" < sip:Unknown 192.168.27.33">sip:Unknown 192.168.27.33>
I joined the hole output messages of the 1560 sip-communicator client,
hope that you'll take a look at it. Please tell me if it's a problem
related to the asterisk server configuration or to the sip-communicator
clients?? And I'll be very thankful if you can tell me where can I find
a good documentation about the SIP and its processing.
Thanks to all.

Hi all,
I9;m still trying to test the call function and this time, I have tried to do that with the SIP Communicator 1.0 alpha2 nightly builds that
I39;ve downloaded from the sipCommunicator web site. I installed one
client on linux and the other on windows and I tried to make a call but
unfortunatly it wasn't a sucess! It's always the same problem, it doesn't ring
and no notify message is shown on the other side, I only can hear the ringing tone from the caller side.
Also I noticed that some classes are not included in the sipCommunicator 1st
release39;s source like the AudioNotifierImpl class and AudioNotifierService interface
so I'm wondering if it's not because of that.
I really need this to work so I want to know exactly what's the call function39;s current
state and I'll be thankful if someone (from the developpers) can
indicate me the package I should work on it to improve this function or
at least where can I find documentation about this function??
Thanks a lot for your help.
