Hi Nick,
I am very sorry for the delay, I am stuck in a heap of work
.
Currently, the alsa datasource has been committed (I think
you noticed
that) but the device used is fixed statically. If you feel
it would be
efficient for you, I can add the device number and subnumber
in the
sip-communicator.xml file, the same way you select the alsa
datasource.
For a more elegant way to choose (or guess automatically)
the device, it
will take a little longer, although it is in my top SC
priorities.
What do you think ?

Hi Jean
Thanks for getting back. Any little improvement in device
selection is very
gratefully welcome.
On the other hand, what I really need this for is for
different work
situations - sometimes I'm in front of the pc making calls
with a headset in
a busy room - when the call rings it needs to ring on the
headset -- other
times when I'm away from the pc it needs to ring on the
speakers. Etc.
Guess the best thing is to wait until you have time.
Very grateful for your input
Cheers
Nick
