Thanks for letting us know. Sounds interesting!

The sc-student-projects meta project on java.net is not
really the best
place to look for project ideas. Many of the projects there
are
currently being worked on by students in the context of
different programs.
This is of course not really a problem and if other students
are
interested we could probably come up with a list of new
ideas (there's
always a lot to do around here).

put in?
I guess this would depend on the mentors that get involved,
as well as
the level of autonomy that you'd expect students to have.
Judging from
previous experience more than 4 would be hard to get and 2
is probably a
reasonable number.

to participate?
This one is hard to define. I'd say that having some
programming
experience is probably the most important one. Knowing Java
also helps.
Other than that I don't think that there should be any
strict
requirements, as long as the students are really interested
in the project.

Yes, we developer documentation that we are trying to keep
up to date.
It's available here:

dex.php/Documentation/DeveloperDocumentation

to the project?
Hmm ... good question. There probably is but I don't really
have any
precise ideas. It mostly depends on what they'd like to do.

We're in close collaboration with the jain-sip project which
is also
very active and would probably be of interest to students.
Cheers
