Hi all

How does SIP provide encryption for the RTP/RTCP media
stream? There is a k= option in SDP, but it says (even in
the IETF docs) that its not a great option and its not to be
used. How can two parties agree upon an encryption method
and key?

Same question for H.323, but I guess it's not the right
place here.

Thnx in advance

Rudie

A newly introduced "a=crypto" attribute of SDP, is
used to negotiate on
the encryption process of RTP/SAVP transport. Please refer
to RFC4568
for details.

Hy all !

I have questions about call forwarding.

first question/ If I well understood forwarding, it is
possible to do
forwarding from SIP UA like a phone or via the use of a
redirect server
?

second question/ if first question is not stupid (lol) what
can lead me
to choose forwarding from UA versus redirect server ?

Thank you

Franck
