Hi ,
Diameter is another protocol like SIP...
If u have come accross the architecture of IMS dn u Could
have found an entity called HSS ,this is similar to HLR
which holds the database of all Subscriber in order to
communicate to the database(HSS) at any point of ur
call/registration v use diameter protol....
As per the architecture...HSS & S-CSCF of IMS entity are
connected to AS(application server), so AS has to support
diameter also..
Hope its clear
Thanks,
A.M.Sunitha

Hi,
I want to know if anybody has used Rui priors SIP
patch for ns2. I have been using it but it does only
the signalling part not the media packets. Can
somebody help me with this. It is urgent. Also is
there a patch available for sending media packets
through Rui Priors SIP.
Thanks,
Litun

Hey all,
It is known that registration is NOT required to enable a
user agent to use
a proxy server for outgoing calls. I need to know if this
feature applies
only to SIP-to-SIP internet calls or in general. For example
if i want to
call a PSTN/ISDN endpoint through my sip provider, is it
mandatory to
register with him first?
Thanks in advance.
James Makris

Sylantro Synergy or the Broadsoft Broadworks hosted PBX ?
Please let me know if you have any experience or feedback on
