SUPERCOMM is Now NXTcomm
We're NXTcomm, the leading trade show for the
telecom industry,
to be held June 16?19 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
We thought we should reintroduce ourselves.
We used to be SUPERCOMM.
TIA and USTelecom, the two organizations that
owned and produced
SUPERCOMM for 18 years, have joined forces again to produce
NXTcomm08, which
replaces SUPERCOMM as the one event delivering the entire
ecosystem of
network-enabled voice, video and data.

The exhibitor list (nearly 500 and growing)
reads like a "who's
who" in the telecom industry and beyond: Cisco,
Ericsson, Microsoft, IBM,
Intel, Motorola, NEC, Sun Microsystems and Alcatel-Lucent
lead the list.
The keynotes are stellar: AT&T's Randall L.
Stephenson,
Verizon's Denny Strigl, "Survivor" and
"Apprentice" creator Mark Burnett,
Sprint Nextel's Dan Hesse, Sun Microsystems' Scott McNealy,
Alcatel-Lucent's
Pat Russo, Telstra's Sol Trujillo and Broadcom's Scott
McGregor are just the
beginning.
The Five New Product Zones include the products
and technologies
you need to know about in order to stay competitive, in
Broadband Wireless
World, IPTV Studio, Green Village, Content Showcase and
BSS/OSS Corridor.
The excitement is contagious! Go to NXTcommShow

Totally agree about the ease factor. However if the thesis
is meant for SIP
study, it would not serve the purpose

I suppose that depends on who the advisor is and what the
topic really is.

I would like to make a bachelor thesis with SIP... The
problem is that I have very low knowledge of SIP, only the
basic concepts, but enough to understand how to make an

Where should I start first? I'm sure that before
programming my own SIP network I should get used to it
somewhere else...
Thanx very much

Hi Juan - k
I don't know much about the SIP but as I know the JAIN API
will allow you to start from very row level for example you
can handle the SDP as well. And in case of Servlets, here
the functional interface is higher level than JAIN one.
so, the decision is yours..
Thank u

Subject: [SIPForum-discussion] Java + SIP
Hello 2 everyone =)
I would like to know which would be the best
implementation for SIP with Java. I've searched but I would
like that someone recommended any that has worked. Is it
better to use JAIN SIP or Servlets?
I would like to write an application in Java that would
transmit voice within a LAN using SIP
Thanks
Juan-k
