Hmm..unfortunately still no joy; something seems to have
broken. With heads
of zaptel, libss7 and asterisk, I still get the following
odd behaviour:

1) Upon startup, I get:

[Apr 12 16:02:37] ERROR[3300]: chan_zap.c:8566 ss7_linkset:
Error in write
Unknown error 500

repeated several times.

Shortly thereafter, I get:

chan_zap.c:8878 zt_ss7_error: [1] Received MSU in invalid
state 0

..scrolling forever madly.

Asterisk chews 100% CPU.

ss7 show linkset 1 shows SS7 up, but the other side shows
the link going up
and down intermittently.

dmesg shows many lines of

HDLC Receiver overrun on channel TE4/0/1/1
(master=TE4/0/1/1)

None of this happens when I set the signaling channel to a
bearer timeslot,
for what it's worth.

Any ideas, please, anyone?

Regards,

Charl

"[Apr 12 16:02:37] ERROR[3300]: chan_zap.c:8566 ss7_linkset: Error in write
Unknown error 500"

the same above error issue had been a case with me when i tried libss7
I mentioned it on the list but to no avail.

Are you using trunk zaptel? If so, if you haven't updated
it recently,
I ended up introducing a bug when I was applying a bug fix
that caused
data corruption related errors such as this. Can you update
your
zaptel to latest trunk and see if it still gives this error?
 I think
that is should fix this.
