mental health screening]

Creates the Postpartum Mood Disorders Prevention Act. Sets out the
findings of the General Assembly and the purposes of the Act. Provides
that the Director of Public Health, in conjunction with the Department
of Financial and Professional Regulation and the Board of Nursing, shall
work with physicians, healthcare facilities, nurses, and licensed health
care workers in the State to develop policies and procedures related to
the prevention, treatment, and diagnosis of postpartum mood disorders in
women.

SB10 CERVICAL CANCER PREVENTION

Provides that beginning August 1, 2009 a female student who is 11 or 12
years of age may not enter any grade of a public, private, or parochial
school unless the child presents to the school proof of having received
a human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination (This is the bill being pushed
by Merck across the country. The long term side effects of the drug
being pushed is unknown. Merck announced yesterday in the Wall Street
Journal that they will cease lobbying efforts nationwide on this because
of all the controversy.)
