I have left a message for the priest of her church and
the police chief to call me about her case. It is classic
AD-induced murder. The police chief was shown on our local
TV station saying that the mother "was medicated"
and that he wasn't sure whether this played a part in what
she did. At least maybe he has heard of the problems caused
by these drugs. De Queen is a small town, with a large (and
growing) Hispanic population. I am sure this is a huge
shock to them. We just don't have murders in our small
Arkansas towns. In my 16 years in my area - NONE (since
they have ruled the 14-year old who died a couple of weeks
ago a suicide and any charges against the young man involved
won't be murder charges) and I'm sure there aren't many in
De Queen either.
BTW, I just gave an interview to a reporter from the
Philly News. She is writing an article about Teen Screen
because one high school in her area is starting their 2nd
round of "testing" and 2 more are looking at
instituting it. They have heard so much negative publicity
that the paper wanted to look into the pros and cons of the
program. I think it went pretty well. She was receptive to
my point of view and I think she will be objective. She
will forward me the article when it's done and I will post
it here.
