Hello SWAMP developers,

We are evaluating whether we should use SWAMP for one of our workflow project. Could you please answer the following questions?

Is SWAMP used in any production systems outside novell?

can SWAMP be used with linux , weblogic & sybase database?  Even if it is not tested, how difficult is to make it work?

We are developing a global application. We are planning to have three servers all over the globe in a cluster. Users can hit any one of the three servers at any given time. If one server fails, that server will be taken out of the cluster. Can SWAMP handle this failover?

Should the workflow/scheduler etc should be running in all three servers or it should be running in only one master server? If the master goes down, the worklfow , scheduler services should be started in one of the two existing server. Is my understanding correct?

How do we make it work in a clustered environment?

Ben

Probably. You never know Maybe
somebody on the list speaks up.

Should work, but not tested on our side.

Wow
Anybody out there not doing that?

Hmm, that's probably not an issue of SWAMP but of the
underlaying
application server. Also untested and no experience here.

Sorry, that's beyond my scope. But I think thats the
business of the
app container.

Hi Lisha,

We are planning to use SWAMP in our production environment.

We have been simulating work flows using SWAMP since last 6 months as
a proof of concept but nothing in a production environment! We are using SWAMP on Linux platform and have found it reliable so far.

Our situation is somewhat similar to you.

It would be interesting to see SWAMP in clustered environment.

Regards,
Deepali
