Hi,
I read some of the details from the I'm back thread from
??????. Hello
and welcome from my minority as well. What I thought is as
further
development, that id would be pretty cool to have an
installer package
for scarab which you can upload to your server, run it,
enter some
properties and scarab works, like in the common web2.0
applications from
today. It would be help to spread scarab, too, I think, when
nearly
everybody which is not a developer can setup a scarab
application,
without having any know how about maven ant, etc....
cheers
Johannes

There is an all-in-one-installer-exe for Windows available
in the trunk.
It's not pretty, it's not well tested, but it's a start, I
think.

don't forget taking a look at scarab-incubator, too... IIRC
there was
something related in-there...

The best installer I ever saw have an OpenFire jabber
server. All installations complete in 1 minute. Everything
is Web2.0

...of course the Web-Installer. I haven't left it out
intentionally.
