Making scratchbox detect my perl installion

Hi,
I have builb perl and installed for my scratchbox target. But now when I am trying to build another module libxml-parser-perl, it does not detect my perl instead detects scratcbox perl. I don’t want such a thing to happen because the scratchbox perl version and my installed perl version are different.

How do I resolve this? Any pointers will be very useful.
