Just tracked down a weird data dropoff in our Omniture
reporting and
found out that Omniture has changed the way it reports
natural search
from Yahoo. Evidently they were treating Yahoo as a
conglomerate of all
Yahoo properties, including mail.yahoo.com. This directly
affects the
Natural Search Engines report for all Omniture reporting
suites.

As of sometime mid-Sept, they made this change and it
affects the
numbers significantly enough that it's now problematic
tracking the
trended Yahoo data. My hope is that they go back and rework
all the
legacy Yahoo data to reflect this new change as well.

I've seen this as well in my Omniture data - I just figured
it was me.

MSN seems to have dropped off as well but I believe this is
due to an
algorithm change they made that is throwing things off.

So, is Omniture going to address this issue? Did they tell
you they
were on top of this? As you said, this makes the trends
look very,
very bad - and with the SEO Dashboard I have set up, it
makes it hard
to tell a positive story.

Thanks!
