Google Maps goes Vocal

Google apparently has a new voice driven interface to Google
Maps. This
is basically a fully automated directory assistance using
google Maps
data combined with voice recognitions. It's pretty cool. You
 can try

I am curious if you see this service (or something similar)
as changing
both ours and the clients relation to local search  and if
so how and
over what time frame?

Phone directories are soon to be a thing of the past. You
now have the
"talking phonebook" to complement the real one.
Once Google starts
getting the word out to businesses about Google Local and
it's
connections with the phone it will only be a matter of time
before this
goes broad acceptance. Note, this takes out the costs of 411
to the
user and pushes it back to the business.
