I just checked a campaign and Google has greatly improved
the geo-
targeting settings interface since I last created a PPC
campaign 3
weeks ago. However, I still don't see that you can target at
just the
zip code level. It seems that Google still offers targeting
at the
following levels:
City
Metro area
state country
radius of physical address
Zip code targeting still seems to be tied to the main post
office. For
example, If I enter a columbus ohio zipcode (432XX), the
targeting
options are the entire city of Columbus or the metro area
only. The
Columbus post-office covers a lot of suburbs that use a
Columbus
zipcode - bexley, grandview heights, upper arlington, and a
few more.
If I enter the zipcode for a suburb with its own post office
(example:
dublin, ohio 43017) the targeted area is much smaller. I
can't find
an option to target a single zipcode inside 432XX.
