Exciting opportunity to support world class enterprise level web based applications!!!
This role is code level and works closely with Development and supports IT staff members and integration consultants to implement and support enterprise web based applications at a high level.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Apply strong technical, communication and customer service skills to resolve incoming customer support calls.
- Serve as Level 2nd escalation point providing Product and Programming support to Customers and internal staff.
- Deliver remote Developer Support to customers and write code using various programming languages and scripting languages.
- Escalate to Support Management and/or Engineering when needed, or when escalation policy dictates it.
- Perform on-call support as required.
- Log and track customer call information and troubleshooting activity in Clientele call tracking system.
- Assume ownership of all customer calls assigned.
- Utilize multiple internal systems as well as web content to research and apply known solutions.
- Occasional travel for on-site support may be required.
Education, Skills, and Knowledge Requirements
- Bachelors in a technical field or equivalent combination of educational and professional experience in a software/support environment.
- 3+ years experience developing and supporting software on Windows and Unix Operating Systems.
- Software programming experience required using Java, J2EE, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and ASP. Must be able to debug code.
- Experience with Application Servers, such as WebLogic and Websphere are a plus.
- Knowledge of administration and troubleshooting Windows, UNIX, and database administration are beneficial.
- Web server, TCP/IP, HTTP and a working knowledge of networking required.
- Web and Client/Server development and/or troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with Web Servers (IIS, SunOne, Apache) installation and administration.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Should be a self-starter, highly motivated, and have the ability to multitask problems, and manage time wisely.
- Ability to work with the customer, keeping them informed of progress, and providing a resolution that is timely and agreeable by the customer.
Must be flexible, able to function in high-stress situations, with a work ethic that demonstrates a ‘what ever it takes to get the job done’ attitude.
