I would think that seattleit is limited to IT jobs
(banking, inventory, backend systems) where as this
group would also include engineering positions.

To the contrary! I am talking about
all IT jobs/career questions including Systems and Software Engineering,
Network Engineering, Administration and Architecture. All of the
above. Because I am in an outside of corporate role I get ALL KINDS of
opportunities especially Engineering in the Software space. I look for C,
C++, C#/.Net, JAVA/J2EE, SQL Developers everyday. In fact, I have several
needs as we speak for each of these technologies and Engineers familiar with
them. Again, Seajug is a great place and I use it everyday myself.
I made SeattleIT as more of a broad network for people to discuss and get information
on more than just JAVA (but
again, not in competition with Seajug. Just an augmentation). Look at it this
way, what would happen if you posted your resume on Seajug? What would
happen? This is what SeattleIT is for. I am sure there are MANY other
people thinking the same thing you are, so I hope I am doing an
“;OK” job of answering your questions!! J
