Software Engineer

a large social networking provider.
Position Summary: Our client is looking for an exceptional senior software engineer to join our development team. We are looking for someone with talent and energy. All team members are expected to solve complex issues end-to-end. We expect our team to own the solutions i.e. design, development, implementation, documentation and maintenance. Successful candidates will have experience working with one or all of the following areas of expertise: J2ME development using the RIM API, unit testing, application debugging and device debugging.
Essential Functions:
- Expert on RIM development techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of RIM API’s & workarounds.
- Debugging applications on RIM handsets
- New feature prototyping
- Working with other client teams for feature parity
- Latest handset knowledge and SDK expertise
Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience in J2ME software development
- 2+ years experience in RIM API’s & device application design.
- Proficient in Java & J2ME environment
- Experience working with BlackBerry JDE or Eclipse integration of JDE through Ant
- Experience performance testing software components.
