You will be responsible for designing and implementing user
interfaces for the Opsware Storage components. As a member of the
Application Storage Automation Systems group, you will collaborate
with other software teams to define requirements, design, present
and discuss interface solutions, access their relative strength and
weakness, and then implement the chosen design.

This challenging position will require a self-starter who can
effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet
aggressive deadlines, and thrives in a dynamic environment. You will
work closely with usability engineers, interaction designers, visual
designers, software engineers, and product managers. You should have
strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work
effectively in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities:

Developing easy-to-use, high performance Java Swing application
Applying user interface design principles
Evaluating and prototyping emerging UI development technologies
Design, Develop, Document, Test and Deliver quality products
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Flexible and work well as part of a fast paced product development
team

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology,
engineering or related technical field.

Qualifications Required:

5+ years of experience in highly responsive software development
environment with at least 3 years of Java
2+ years of experience in developing user interfaces using Swing and
JSP
Experience working within an application framework, and GUI
development standards

Qualifications Desired:

Understand Storage domain (SAN, ISCSI etc).
Experience includes J2EEExperience with JGoodies swing suite and
Jide
Experience with ClearCase and Ant
