Sage IT Services is seeking a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer to work
with a client on a full-time/perm basis in downtown Seattle. The QA
Engineer will be responsible for taking leadership in writing test
plans, building automated testing tools and working with development
teams to identify problems early and often.
Requirements:
-3+ years experience in Quality Assurance or Software Engineering
-2+ years experience with building and using Open Source Software.
-Strong understanding of software lifecycle, relationships between
requirements engineering, testing, and shipping software
-Excellent written and oral communication skills - ability to write
software specifications, test plans, test reports, and bug reports
-Ability to program in one of perl, python, ruby (proficient in
standard modules, OOP, and regex) and at least one UNIX shell
-Experience with data modeling, XML processing
-Some experience with Java and one or more J2EE application servers
-Experience developing with SQL databases
Desired Skills(strong plus):
-Advanced UNIX/Linux system administration skills:
TCP/IP networking, packet analysis, IP firewalls, DHCP and TFTP
protocols.
At least two years experience with Linux and GNU tools
