Our client is looking for a hands on development lead to build REST
web services that connects to their search tools (implemented in
Java, Spring, and Hibernate) that connects to their consumer oriented
site and applications (written in Ruby in Rails.)
The things you MUST KNOW to get the job done:
• 4 - 7 years experience as a Software Development Engineer,
OO
• Java, SQL, and an MVC framework such as Struts or Spring
• Strong coding and design abilities (data structures and
algorithms)
• Leadership abilities to manage and mentor; also an outsourced
team
Things that are nice to have:
• Experience in Spring and Hibernate
• Experience in Ruby on Rails
~ Because some work on the tools is done by an outsourced development
team in India, this job also provides the opportunity (though not the
requirement) to swing your schedule so that you're off for a couple
hours in the daytime in exchange for time in the evening that
overlaps with the outsourced team's schedule.
