turning the world of "typical real estate firms"; and their established
fees upside down. They are the industrys first online real estate
brokerage and unlike any other real estate site, you can buy and sell
MLS-listed homes online. They are a 50 person start up that is
expanding in both their San Francisco & Seattle offices as well as
sales branches in LA, Boston, San Diego, Washington DC with Chicago
coming online soon.
They are funded by Madrona Ventures which backed Amazon and Paul
Allens Vulcan Capital. They are looking for bright, intelligent
engineers and who are looking to get in on this unique opportunity.
Their revenues are up and traffic to their site is increasing as more
and more home owners & sellers look to saving money on real estate
commissions. In 2007 they had 1000 closed transactions and the brand
name is getting out there.
job summary
Engineers in our test team work on the widest range of technologies in
our business and have strategic impact, using advanced techniques for
assessing scalability, performance and quality. Projects include data
acquisition, search, data mining, AJAX user interface and test frameworks.
responsibilities
* Review product designs to ensure a high-quality customer experience
* Develop automated acceptance and functional tests
* Analyze data to understand usage patterns and performance bottlenecks
* Own feature areas in any or all three tiers: web interface, server,
database
experience required
* Ability to design, understand, break, develop, and fix code
(specific knowledge of Java and SQL a plus!)
o Strong analytical capabilities
o Passionate commitment to engineering quality and productivity.
* We use a variety of open source testing tools such as Jmeter, JUnit,
Selenium and Clover
* This QA role is a combination of Grey & White Box testing
experience desired
You must be proficient at writing test code and having the ability to
