Java Developer - Math/Analytics Specialist

My client is looking for a Java developer with extensive experience
using Java math libraries to become part of the team creating an
innovative web-based marketing optimization platform. You will report
directly to the CTO and work closely with the Chief Scientist and
Chief Architect to design and develop cutting-edge predictive
analytics systems. If you're looking for an opportunity to work

Responsibilities:

· Translating mathematics from R and Matlab into high-
performance Java designs

· Developing statistical analytics systems using Java math
libraries

· Using your skills to help the development team deliver
quality releases

· Designing, developing, testing and maintaining object-
oriented software systems

· Writing production quality code in Java and J2EE to tight
deadlines

· Maintaining top quality, performance and reliability
standards

· Researching and recommending new tools and technologies.

Required Skills:

· BS CS/EE degree required, MS degree in quantitative sciences
or engineering a plus

· At least 3 years experience in demanding, fast-paced
development environments

· Core Java development experience required, J2EE experience
is strongly desired

· Proven experience developing data acquisition and
statistical analysis systems

· Experience with R and Matlab

· Solid understanding of HTTP, HTML, XML, Web Services,
servlets, JSP's and custom tags

· Database development and integration experience desired

· Experience with high-throughput, high-availability server-
side Web applications a plus

· Experience with fault-tolerant, distributed multi-tier
system architectures a plus

· Must be an organized self-starter with a strong "get it
done" attitude

· Ability to adapt quickly and respond effectively in high-
pressure, multi-tasking situations.
