Problems with Google DOCS

Hi there,

I use Spreadsheet::WriteExcel and generate good XLS files
that can be
openened without problems in Microsoft Excel but those same
files get
an error when trying to upload them to Google Docs. Any tip
on that?

Hi,

I wasn't aware of that.

There are some internal records in an XLS file that
Spreadsheet::WriteExcel doesn't produce and which Excel (or
Gnumeric
or OpenOffice) doesn't require but some other 3rd party
applications
do.

It looks like Google docs is one of those that require them.
:-(

I'll look into fixing it but the fix is non-trivial.

Ahm well I can for once tell the operators that google isn't
that cool
after all

I found the incompatibility.

I'll upload a patched version that will work with Google
docs in a few
days.
