Submerge does not work for text files with some non ascii characters

Sorry for the long email....I figured out the problem

Instead of 

.../submerge diff -e UTF-8 ....

I should have put

.../submerge diff -e utf-8 ....

I did an iconv -L and just copied the text..oops


Like I said this same file crashes FileMerge, but
subMerge was able to handle it!!!
