Topic ""Unable to locate a login
configuration" error." was updated by KarthikR
with the following message:
- If you wish to use another tomcat installation instead of
the bundled tomcat, then you can do the following:
1. Go to the 'Runtime' tab on the project/files window.
2. Right-click on 'Servers' node and select 'add
server'.
3. From the list of supported servers, select 'tomcat5' or
'tomcat55' depending on your installed tomcat.
- Different versions of tomcat require different security
settings. Perhaps your tomcat installation is not 5.5. That
would explain why the same application works with one server
but not the other, even if both servers have same settings.
(With newer versions, tomcat usually tries to get better at
security and thus requiring more settings...)
- The log files, i think, are found in user directory and
not install directory. Can u try
<nbuserdir>/./jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9_base/conf/catalina.
policy file?
