outlook express and msn messenger

Hi, back again. Had to reformat my machine, running
win xp and now everytime I open outlook express,
messenger has to start up. Going through my email
options, I though I had it shut off, but no, it starts
with outlook express when I try to exit it, it says
that my email will close also. My kid does use
messenger often, but I don't, and don't want it to
start with my email. Any suggestions....thanks in advance....lohlson

Set up separate user accounts and kill Messenger on your desktop but
leave it running on the other

To kill on your desktop - go into OE settings and tell it not to load
Messenger when it opens plus go into Messenger settings and tell it
not to load on start or be able to run in the background.
