But, actually, I don't know exactly how the audio book makers fit their
books onto 1 or 2 cd's.
Good luck,

Very interesting, I have never seen commercially available audio books
reduced to 2 or 3 CDs, except perhaps those that have been abridged. The ones
that I have currently on loan from the library appears to confirm what you were
saying about the 74 minute ceiling:

Dan Brown The Da Vinci Code (abridged) Running time 6 hours 40 minutes 5
CDs

Sue Grafton S is for Silence (unabridged) Running time 12 hours 30 minutes
11 CDs

Christopher The Devil's Banker (unab) Running time (approx.) 13 hours 25
minutes 11 CDs
Reich

Campbell Silencer Running time (approx) 12
hours 10CDs
Armstrong

Harlan No Second Chance Running time (approx) 13 hours 25
minutes 11CDs
Coben

James Wild Justice Running time 6 Hours
6CDs
Pattinson

But perhaps this is just because I live in the UK .

-Hi
Thanks for the info...upon further investigation, some of these were
very short mystery books, I looked at some of the big novels and you
are correct! I will look for the cache for downloads
One more thing, I know that this is OT, but could someone email me
privately about a good place to get help with an mp3 player I am very
new at using them.
Thanks so much for the help
