My 'Delete' folder stopped deleting in Outlook Express.

My 'Delete' folder stopped deleting in Outlook Express. When I click he Delete button I get a notice telling me "this message cannot be deleted". How do I fix that??
I have Windows XP Pro. No problem deleting on Internet Explorer. My delete box is totally empty. At the moment I drag items I want deleted to the bulk folder. Thanks for any help. efli2
