libxml2 and XQuery sequences

Hello,

Does anybody use libxml2 to parse not entire docs but parts
of them?
Ideally, it would be work with items of XQuery Data Model.
At least,
maybe some sample parsing of a sequence of xml elements
exists
somewhere...

  there is no semantic in XML-1.0 for that kind of
operations. There is
libxml2 entry points like xmlParseBalancedChunkMemory and
xmlParseInNodeContext
but you have no garantee of applicability to a given task
since since 
there is no standard defining those.

libxsl supports xpath 1, not XPath 2; there's no support
right now for
the XPath 2.0 and XML Query Data Model (XDM).

Put a wrapper element round them and you'll be fine.
