Was I wasting my time?

Last year I wrote my parents a letter and I discussed
it with my psychologist. The 1 issue was listening to
me. WHY DID I BOTHER 2 EVEN INVITE THEM. They stil
dont listen to me. I dont get invited to join their
conversations and if I try to talk they ignore. The 1
way I got their attention was to Self harm but I dont
do that anymore. I have been SI free for 12 days now.
