This is my first post. I am 57 years old, married, the
father of 2
sons. I am in a dead end job, making less than 10.00 an hour
with no
retirement plan. We only work 9 months out of the year so it
is
impossible to get ahead. We have been off for the last month
and now we
don't even have the money for groceries. I feel like I have
wasted my
whole life and just don't see any point in going on.

You have a wife and 2 sons, now isn't that enough to live for? Please think about your family and the pain you will cause them if you do not go on. Please, please, think about you family. Also, is there any way that you can apply for other jobs that will pay you more money? Check on the internet to see if there is jobs that you can do from home. ; Can you do any odds jobs around you neighborhood? And the last thing I will say, please go talk to a doctor to try and get help. ; And.....one more last thing, pray and I will pray for you.

Don't be afraid to ask for help! We all have times when
we're in need,
emotionally, financially, or physically. (Sometimes all at
once!) If
you're lucky enough to live in a first world country there
are so many
resourses out there for you... go out and get some help!

Are you seeing someone for your depression? If so you need to get in right away, if not you have to find someone; check for a free/reduced rate clinic or a doc that works on a sliding scale fee. Meds can help so much. ; You have to reach out and take that first step, and I know right now it feels like you can't do it, but you have to for the sake of yourself and your boys. Suicide is not a way out, although all of us have been in your shoes. Jan
