Hey, everyone. New to the list, new to the Axim.

I currently own an Axim X50v upgraded to Windows Mobile 5.
I can't
boot from HaRET currently, but don't really know where to
start.
Since I'm strongly desiring Linux on my handheld, and very
eager to
take, I wouldn't mind giving any help that I can to get
things
moving. I just don't know where to start.

I've noticed that this port has been slow in coming, at
least from
the wiki's point of view. From what I see, it shows an
update in June
of last year, another in April of this year, and then one in
May of
this year. Support for Windows Mobile 5.0 ROMs is not
available,
there is a working touchscreen and USB networking, HaRET
boot
support, and basic power management

I'm wondering if anyone else is keeping blogs or status
pages besides
the wiki, or some other type of structure. Is there a
priority list
for items to work on, or other communication channels
besides the
wiki? Has anyone been able to get this to boot on a WM5
x50v? If not,
what's holding it back? I see that other iPaqs running WM5
have been
able to boot, but don't know enough about the platform to
understand
what the differences are.

Forgive my rambling and lack of understanding. I'm trying
to jump in
without checking the depth of the pool.

As far as I know I can answer this:

The priority is basic drivers, like touchscreen, video,
sound, wifi,
bluetooth, and so.

The difference with the iPaq's is that each pda has a
starting memory
address and (correct me if i'm wrong) we don't know the
starting address
of the memory in the x51(v) and it seems that with WM5 the
memory
addressment is different than on WM2003.
