allTagsExcept works great for a single tagged tiddler.
But what's an easy way to handle an AND tagging situation
such as:
"Task" AND "Open" and not show those
that are tagged "Task" AND
"Closed". What might be a better way to handle
putting this type of
listing issue in the menu?
Along with the question for those being shown just show the
word
"Task" and not have "Open" in the list
on the menu.
I didn't see a TagsInclude that works like allTagsExcept -
however,
wouldn't I still have the problem of "Open"
showing up in the list?
Now all "allTagsExcept" could work if any of the
Tags in (the Except
list) are present the Tiddler is not included. I tried it
using
"Closed" but the Tiddler showed up in the list
under "Task". Would it
be a good idea to exclude the Tiddler if any of the Except
tags show
up?

Searched the group posting and fouund interesting ideas but
no easy
solution for using allTagsExcept for the desired effects.
Can tag words be in concatenated in the exclude list like
"Task
Closed" to not find them.
The desired result in the main menu would look something
like the
following:
Open
Task [3]
Projects [2]
Closed
Task [2]
Projects [3]
To be simple do I need to live with "Task-Open"
and "Task-Closed" as
tags? Then I should get rid of the "Open" and
"Closed" heading so it
wouldn't look dumb!

Eric,
Before your hint I had read TagGrid but didn't try it!
Functionally it fit the bill but it's not a pretty as
allTagsExcept in the menu.
I have two TagGrid in the menu one below the other
separated by a
few spaces, an Open list and an Closed list.
For now, unless I get another hint - its time to get to
adding
more content!
Thanks

I think you need ForEachTiddlerPlugin. It can do this type of thing.

Thanks! I try the ForEachTiddlerPlugin! I'll start another
thread
about examples in the vault because I read about the
ForEachTiddlerPlugin but didn't picture it working whereas I
used the
allTagsExcept. I could have changed the tag structure to
get the data
as I needed the pulling of the data but the tag wouldn't
have looked
neat.
