Hi, I am muddling (as a non-programmer) though the many
wonderful
features around TiddlyWiki, trying to build a simplistic
project
information management tool. I work on smallish information
heavy
projects, where even the information collected remains
useful for
future consulting. Perhaps I want to offer the shell of
this TW to
others to use.

The TaggerPlugin looks just like what I need to offer myself
the
ability to select tags from several focused tag groupings,
using the
'source' parameter. However, what happens is that while it
offers
only the tags controlled by the 'source' parameter, it show
ALL
current tags, also from the other groupings. For example, I
want to
offer the ability to tag specific people from a people
group, and then
from an activity list, and so on. I do want to show the
currently
tagged items, but only from that particular group - I dont
want to see
the current selected tags for both people and activities
under the
dropdown for people.

I hope I am just missing some way of configuring this
plugin. Or
perhaps there is another that will let me do what I need...
is there
anyone out there who can help me with this?

Cheers,

Grant

I forgot to say that using the exclude parameter does not
solve this -
excluded tags are still listed in the 'current tags' if they
are
tagged in the tiddler.

Hi Grant,

Though I haven't used it myself, after reading the thread of
'Using
TiddlyWiki for Research Notes' and finding Dave's example
file
therein:

I believe MonkeyTagger of Saq would be what you are looking
for:

http://tw.lewcid.org/

W.

Hi W. This looks like just the thing I need, thanks a
million.

For the others who might read this, what it does is, if you
have a
tiddler for each person you work for, and add the tag
'people' to each
one, this plugin will let you create dropdown tag selectors,
with
check boxes, that will list all the tiddlers with the people
tag - so
that way I can, for example, check off the people who
attended a call
when I am making a tiddler with notes on the call. Really
cool.

Silly me, I looked at this plugin earlier, but did not
really
understand it, but inbetween, I learned and now it makes
sense to
me...

Thanks!

Grant
