All,
Here's a beta release (v0.93) of new TiddlyWiki
application:
TiddlyFolio. It's downloadable from
http://tiddlyfolio.
tiddlyspot.com
It's a "wiki wallet" for storing
* your passwords +
* your credit card details +
* and other details you may keep in your wallet
Tiddlers are encryptable on save by clicking a checkbox.
Clicking on
the wallet photo lists the contents of the wallet. If you
ever lose
your wallet you should have full details of the contents at
your
fingertips and can be cancel your credit and debit cards
accordingly.
A report can be generated for despatch to Sentinel Gold /
Credit Card
Sentinel or equivalent if you subscribe to a card
cancellation and
replacement service.
TiddlyFolio is intended to be a "wiki on a
stick"--on your key ring
now, and on your phone later perhaps. It includes support
for
TiddlySpot, so you can lose your keys as well as your wallet
and as
long as you have uploaded a copy to TiddlySpot after making
changes
you'll be backed up.
As it uses embedded images this is a release for Firefox
only.
This wiki could be made quite a bit smaller, Internet
Explorer-
compatible, and its TiddlySpot synchronization could be
speeded up
through use of the IncludePlugin to include images and
plugins. In the
first instance, however, I wanted to stick with a single
file, much
like TW itself. I am experimenting with using FormTiddler to
provide a
spiffier interface for credit card data but I'm not yet
convinced that
this is worthwhile.
Thanks to all whose past work I've cut and pasted so heavily
in
assembling this.Special thanks to Eric Shulman who created
the
CheckboxToggleTag plugin in response to a query on this list
and
thanks too to those who kindly answered questions of mine on
this
list. Thanks to Daniel Baird for adding the extra files
needed to
support the TiddlyPedia theme to TiddlySpot.
Please excuse my ignorance wherever needed. I am still quite
new at
things TW and this has mainly been a learning exercise,
though I hope
it may meet a need too.
Note: this is a test release. Please make sure that you
remain backed
up. My other half, has been using a version of TiddlyFolio
for a month
without any problem, but saving locally only (integrated
with PMwiki,
also using a Wikipedia skin). Smallprint: yada yada yada.
You know
what this says.
Any and all improvements and suggestions for improvement are
welcome,
as long as the focus remains on an electronic wallet.
Cheers,
Paul
