My employer (Optio Software <http://www.optio.com>
) has developed a
tool in TurboGears for tracking project status. We recently
decided
to release it as an open source application.
I encourage you to take a look at it! It runs on TurboGears
0.9a1,
and has been working very well for us. It has some warts,
but we
thought it was good enough to get out to the community at
this point.
I have put up a trac instance here:

rg/fasttrack
Here is the description from the website:
Fast Track is a simple approach to project status
tracking.
It was developed at Optio Software to fill a real need,
and
is used there on a day-to-day basis. Fast Track is built
on
top of the fantastic TurboGears web framework in the
Python
Programming Language. In 2006, Optio decided to release
Fast
Track as an open source project. We hope that it can be
employed
and improved by others, and can be a good learning tool
for
TurboGears programmers.
Fast Track was designed to eliminate massive status
reports that
had to be completed weekly by developers, then condensed
by project
managers, and eventually delivered to senior management.
As an
alternative, Fast Track provides a
"dashboard" view showing the
current status of all projects, and allows you to
drill-down into
greater detail about project status, using progress
notes, questions
and answers, risks, issues, and uploaded files.
I hope you all enjoy!
