smsm1 suggested that there was recently a CWS called
macosxmapfiles, which was
integrated in 680m202, and is currently available in the
latest rc builds on the
good-day server.

In installed 680m202 named "OpenOffice 2.2" on the
same Intel Mac platform (Core
2 Duo, Mac OS X 10.4.8) and the issue was resolved with
build 680m202. Thank you.
