Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gedit
file > new
in the new document, type a few lines:
line1
line2
line3
(last line of the document is line3)
file > save
save the file as /tmp/testfile
file > close
file > open
open /tmp/testfile
the document now has four lines!
last line is empty.
(the actual file still contains 3 lines, even after saving)
I don't know weather this is intended behavior. It just
confuses me as
for some scripts or when editing data files is't important
that the last
line is not empty.
